Bait

Bait is a material that is used as a special means of fishing. Upon equipping your fishing rod, if you go back into your equipment menu and press R or Y for PC or Xbox respectively, to open the Bait radiul menu, from there simply select the bait you want and start fishing. It can be found in any generic barrels and can be stored in the food barrels of a ship. Players can hold up to ten pieces of bait total in their inventory of any type.

Types of Bait

There are currently 3 types of Bait in Sea of Thieves. Each bait type can be used to catch different fish in different places. Some fish don’t require any bait.

Trivia

• If eaten, any type of bait will cause a player to be sick
• You will not loose bait unless a fish bites it
• It cannot be bought
